The fantastically good cheesesteak from Pat's Steaks in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The cheesesteak originated at Pat's and this is one of many reasons why I like to go back to Philadelphia. This one is a Pizza Wit, which is a cheesesteak with onions, marinara sauce and cheese wiz.

Furness Library Staircase, University of Pennsylvania - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
This is a black and white conversion done on a color HDR that I posted two days ago. I used a new software plug-in called B&W Effects from Topaz Labs. I just posted a review of the software on my blog. Creating a black and white image from a HDR (High Dynamic Range) image can produce some great results. You can get a level of detail and a look that is not possible with standard methods. Which do you like better, the black and white version or the color version? Eastern State Penitentiary, Al Capone's Cell - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Al Capone, Chicago's famous mob boss, stayed 8 months (1929 - 1930) in this cell at Eastern State Penitentiary located near downtown Philadelphia. The famous inmate received spacial treatment with a luxuriously appointed cell, unlike any other at the prison. Eastern State Penitentiary was operational from 1829 to 1971. It was a revolutionary design for its time and it became a model for over 300 prisons worldwide. Furness Library Staircase, University of Pennsylvania - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
The grand staircase at the Furness Library is located on the University of Pennsylvania campus in Philadelphia. Completed in 1890 and designed by the acclaimed Philadelphia architect Frank Furness, it served as the University's main library until 1962. The building was rededicated as the Fisher Fine Arts Library after its restoration in 1991.
