The Skyscrapers of Market Street - San Francisco, California

alt= Perhaps because of history and tradition, I tend like street photographs in black and white. The modern lines of skyscrapers works nicely too in monochrome, simplifying the composition and emphasizing texture. These series of photographs were all taken in San Francisco, in and around Market Street. I was testing out the new E-P5 that was on loan to me from Olympus. Read the story behind the photograph at San Francisco Monochromes with the Olympus E-P5.

Generic Strip Mall - Austin, Texas

Generic Strip Mall - Austin, Texas I find it challenging to find anything interesting to photograph in the vast suburbs that surrounds the urban core. Here is a generic, low-end strip mall that can be anywhere. The repeating pillars and arches made it more visually interesting.
