Wall Art, Wahoo's Fish Tacos - Austin, Texas

From a wall in Wahoo's Fish Taco on South Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas. We frequently stop at Wahoo's during our many photowalks in the South Congress (SoCo) area just south of downtown. I love the wild color, patterns and artwork on these skateboards.

Partners, Disneyland - Anaheim, California

Taken at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. I wanted to capture the golden statue, of Walt Disney and Mickey Mouse, named "Partners" with the Sleeping Beauty Castle in the background. The castle is decked out in holiday lighting that resembles icicles. An image like this is hard, if not impossible, to capture using a standard exposure. I used HDR and blended 3 exposures so that I can cleanly expose both the statue and the castle. Here is a close up of the castle that I posted about 6 months ago.

Moolah, CowParade - Austin, Texas

Starting in the summer of 2011, 72 cows, all unique art pieces, were displayed throughout Austin. I like Moolah, the money and big capitalist inspired cow that was placed in front of a bank on 6th street in downtown Austin. The CowParade is used to raise money for local charities and has taken place in over 75 cities in 30 different countries. The first one started in Chicago in 1999.

Echo by Jaume Plensa, Madison Square Park - New York, New York

Echo by Spanish sculptor Juame Plensa depicts a nine-year old girl. The public art work is on display from May 5 - August 14, 2011 in Madison Square Park in New York City.
