I was sitting at the very front of the Chupacabra Cantina and had a ring side view of the activities on 6th street. For some reason this woman started painting the face of this guy. Street photography from the comfort of a restaurant table.

As see on Congress Avenue in downtown Austin, Texas. Dawn and Jackie were promoting a new elixer that is supposed to make you feel a lot better the next day after drinking. I have not tried the product so I have no idea about its efficacy.

Anastasia on the left is from Russia and Dinara on the right is from Kazakstan. I met these two high school exchange students in downtown Austin during a street portraiture course. They are one month into a year long stay here in Texas.

Pop Art, Freebirds World Burrito - Austin, Texas

As seen at Freebirds World Burrito in North Austin. This work of pop art seems to reinforce the slightly quirky feel of both Freebird's and the city of Austin, even though the restaurant is located in a generic strip mall off of an interstate highway. Artwork aside, Freebirds does make very tasty and large burritos.

Window Conversation, Bat Bar - Austin, Texas

Taken on 6th street in front of the Bar Bar in downtown Austin, Texas. 6th street is Austin's most famous entertainment district with many clubs, bars and restaurants. Each establishment has their way of attracting patrons. This woman in the window spins colored light balls which did a fine job of attracting these two men.

Nightclub Color, Suite 101 - Austin, Texas

As seen through the window at Club 101 in downtown Austin, Texas. I did a bit of street photography but in this case I was on the street and shot a scene inside a club. The wild colors attracted me but the interaction between the two women was also interesting.

No Entry, Downtown Parking Garage - Austin, Texas

The 3 red Xs caught my attention as I walked by some parking garage in downtown Austin, Texas. Of course these are utilitarian and mundane structures but at times they have a zen like simplicity to them. I like the truck in the frame, it seems to balance out the yellow dots. Of course, having a hot sports car in its place would have been even better.

I noteiced this new store on the north west corner of the Austin City Hall building last week. This area, part of the 2nd street shopping district, is filling out nicely with stores and residential developments.
