After the worst drought and the hottest temperatures on record last summer, Central Texas has finally begun to receive some rain. Consequently, this year's wild flower display has been spectacular. My schedule did not allow for a hill country wild flower photo excursion. I captured these bluebonnets, the state flower of Texas, off the side of a highway within the Austin city limits.
