Autumn color comes late to the Central Texas area if it comes at all. The fall foliage seems especially colorful this year. I don't know if it was because of the extreme drought or other unusual weather conditions. I originally wanted to photograph the entire tree but the composition seemed too busy. I decided to isolate a small detail using a large aperture on the lens which produced a shallow plane of focus.
