About 23 miles west of Agra, on the city's outskirts lays Fatehpur Sikri. Started in 1569 by Akbar the Great, this UNESCO World Heritage Site became the capital city for the Mughal Empire from 1571 to 1585. The site, built of red sandstone, was the first of 3 UNESCO sites I visited in Agra, India. The architecture allowed several opportunities to do frame within a frame compositions. This one, with is slightly moody shadows is one of my favorite.
