I saw people buying these diamond shaped pieces of paper yesterday at MT Supermarket, a large Asian grocery store in the Chinatown Center. I was told these are for good luck and they are put up near the front door on Chinese New Year, which is today. It is the year of the Snake. After a quick Google search, I found out they are called Chūnlián. Happy Chinese New Year!
